Frontiersman Camping Fellowship Dues
Attention FCF members! It’s that time of year again to pay your yearly dues for 2012. To remain an active member, you need to pay your dues each year or pay a onetime lifetime membership. This year’s dues fees are $15 for Young Bucks and $25 for Old Timers. If you wish to do the lifetime membership option, that membership is $300. Dues are due by Brush Poppin’ each year (this year, Brush Poppin’ is March 9-11, 2012).
Those FCF members that are listed as inactive, an inactive member is one who hasn’t paid their dues in the last 1-3 years, will need to pay the dues for the years they were inactive plus this year’s dues. An archived member is one who has been inactive for more than three years. To become active again, they will need to pay last years and this year’s dues and work an FCF Adventure.
FCF members should be receiving a letter and dues form from the FCF Scribe, Frank “Jawbone” Super, explaining your membership status in FCF. Those desiring to pay the lifetime membership fee, there is a separate lifetime membership form to fill out and submit with your payment. If you didn’t get the letter, or have any questions on your membership status, he can be reached at usmcrsuper@sbcglobal.net.
To pay your 2012 dues, print out this form and mail it, along with your check for your dues, to the address on the form.
2012 FCF Adventure
Calling all young men, and men of Royal Rangers. The Shawnee Trail Chapter of the Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship is looking for young men and men of God who would like to take their walk with God further. If you have a heart for giving and serving (FCF Motto), if you want to see more people reached for Christ, if you are excited about the ministry God can give you and want to become a “minister” to others in Royal Rangers, your church, family, and community then we want you!! Have you completed the Trail to the Grizzly merits? Do you have a sponsor? Then sharpen up those FCF skills. Throw that hawk and knife “till ya can’t miss”, practice that dere Flint an’ steel. Don’t fer git ta do some cookin’!!! (No sense a wastin’ a perfectly good fire ya know). Then shoot dat dar smoke pole till ya can shuck the eyes outa mosquito at a hunerd yards. Then ther is da bow an arrow get some o dat stuffed meat fer camp. Speaking of meat the most important skill to have is your scriptures. We can’t have no Frontiersmen not knowin how ta use dat there sword and help another find his path to da Lord!!
Now that we got all the nonsense out of the way, how about the important stuff?
Applications are available online at the FCF web site. The application needs to be submitted no later then Brush Poppin’ which will be held March 9th thru the 11th. I need to know ahead of time how many men and boys will be joining so I can get a staff together as well as gather all the food, so please be timely with your application and committed to the process!
Sponsors, you are responsible for your candidate. Make sure they are ready! Make sure you also contact us. Most importantly make sure you are at the Adventure; you are our camp staff and an example to your candidate!!!!!!
The FCF adventure will be held March 30, 31 and April 1st.
The costs are as follows:
- Candidates (sponsor takes care of this cost) $35.00
- FCF Handbook (sponsor takes care of this too) $10.00
- Camp Staff Workers $30.00. This is a three day camp all food cooked and provided.
Sponsors, workers and camp staff, make sure you bring plates and utensils for yourself and at least 1 other person.
The most important thing I can ask of everyone is for you to lift this camp up to the Lord. We have been given so much and the opportunity to not only minister to but equip another young man or man to become a better “minister” is awesome. Please, please lift this camp up in prayer that God will be glorified and have His way for, through, and in all who attend!!
Any other questions please contact me or the assistant camp commander.
